Assessing The Quality Of BNC Connectors

Regarding the product's exterior, a bright, smooth, and refined plating finish is preferable; higher copper purity results in greater luster, whereas some products may appear shiny on the outside but are actually made of iron.

A magnet test can be used: typically, only the bayonet spring and the rear spring contain iron-based materials, while the wire clip, contact pin, and housing are made of copper, and other components consist of zinc alloy.

Scrape the plating to inspect the base material: Use a sharp tool, such as a blade, to remove the surface plating and directly examine the underlying material-specifically by scraping the wire clip, contact pin, and shielding sleeve to compare the materials.

In addition to the methods above, you can also use a high-quality female connector to test the product.
