How Do You Connect A BNC Connector?

The steps for attaching a BNC connector are as follows:

Stripping the Cable:
A coaxial cable consists of the following layers (from outside to inside): The outer protective jacket, the metal shielding braid, the milky-white transparent insulation layer, and the center conductor (core wire).
Use a stripping tool to remove the outer protective jacket and a portion of the metal shielding braid, exposing the inner milky-white transparent insulation layer and the center conductor.

Connecting the Center Conductor:
Insert the stripped center conductor into the small hole at the rear of the center pin (contact pin) of the BNC connector body.
Firmly crimp the pin using the small slot at the front of the specialized crimping tool to ensure the center conductor is securely fastened within the hole, establishing a solid electrical connection.

Assembling the BNC Connector:
First, slide the metal shielding sleeve onto the stripped coaxial cable.
Insert the center pin forward through the rear opening of the BNC connector body, ensuring the pin protrudes from the front end.
Push the metal sleeve forward to clamp the outer metal shielding braid against the cylindrical section at the rear of the connector body, ensuring good contact between the shielding layer and the connector body.

Crimping:
Use the hexagonal crimping slot on the tool to firmly crimp the metal sleeve, deforming it into a hexagonal shape to maintain secure contact between the sleeve and the metal shielding braid.
Repeat the above steps to attach a BNC connector to the other end of the coaxial cable, thereby completing the entire connection process.
