Introduction
This 4.3-10 Female Coax Connector is designed for 50-ohm RG141 semi-rigid high-temperature coaxial cable. It has a captivated center conductor. The fixed contact structure restricts contact movement under vibration and repeated handling.
Solder termination applies to both center and outer conductors. The solder joints form electrical contact between the connector and RG141 cable for RF assemblies.
The 4.3-10 interface targets low-PIM use cases and offers a smaller, lighter alternative to traditional 7/16 DIN connectors. A silicone O-ring sits at the mating interface; IP67 protection is achieved when fully mated.
RG141 cable uses PTFE dielectric and FEP jacket. This material combination supports high-temperature operation and maintains insulation and shielding properties. This connector and cable combination serves internal module wiring, RF equipment interconnections and PIM test assemblies.
Center Conductor Soldering Points
Pre-tinning
Apply a thin tin layer on the center conductor to enhance solder adhesion.
Insertion and Alignment
Insert the prepared center conductor into the 4.3-10 Female Coax Connector center solder hole at the specified depth.
Soldering Procedure
Heat the solder hole area with a soldering iron for 2 to 3 seconds before feeding solder. Fill the gap fully with solder to form smooth, clean joints and prevent cold solder defects.
Shield Layer Soldering
After center conductor soldering is finished, solder the folded braided shield to the connector outer shell. Keep shield strands isolated from the center conductor throughout the process.
